“You’re going to be in the calendar too?” Darin planted a big kiss on Arturo’s lips. “That’s fantastic! You’re going to be the sexiest man in it, you know that, right?”

Arturo was blushing, and he looked adorable. Darin wanted to scoop him up and kiss him again, but he’d already been daring enough considering they were out in public and this was their second date.

“No, I won’t,” Arturo muttered as he swirled the straw in his glass. “Darin, I know what I look like. I’m skinny, my knees are knobby, I don’t have any muscles to speak of and I’m… I’m oatmeal.”

Darin blinked, stunned by Arturo’s self-assessment. “Where is this coming from? You don’t strike me as insecure. You don’t have any reason to be insecure.”

“I’m not insecure, per se, but I do see myself every day. I’m not saying I’m hideous. I’m just…” Arturo sighed. “I’m average. You have muscles and gorgeous skin, eyes that make a man want to fall into bed with you, and you’re a funny, intelligent guy, too. Physically, we’re almost opposites.”

“We are not,” Darin countered. “You might see yourself every day, but you must not be looking at yourself. You’re a handsome man, and so what if you aren’t bulked up like I am? Sexy comes in all shapes and sizes. You’re lean and you have a dick most guys would be envious of. You’re the total package, Arturo. I think Perry’s brilliant for asking you to do this.”

“She didn’t ask,” Arturo muttered, still blushing. “She told me I’m doing it.”

All Darin had to do was imagine Arturo posing in a jock and his dick started to get hard. “Trust me, you’re sexy as fuck, and you’ll look incredible in whatever Perry has you wear.”

Arturo sighed. “I can’t get out of it, and I don’t have enough time to try and pack on any muscle. Not that such a thing is possible. I’ve tried more than once. I’m just skinny.”

“Slender,” Darin corrected with a smile. “You’re slender, lean. Skinny sometimes sounds more like an insult than not.”

“Yes, I know. I was teased about being skinny when I was a kid,” Arturo said. “Which, okay. I might have some lingering insecurities over that, which is stupid. I’m an adult.”

“It’s not stupid. Teasing, bullying and harassment can cause long-lasting scars and insecurities,” Darin replied. “I was picked on for being short until I hit sixteen and had a growth spurt, and being short wasn’t all I was teased about. I started working out because I was overweight, so believe me, I know what it’s like being tormented over your body. You can also trust me when I tell you that your body is one fine specimen of manhood.”

Arturo snorted then laughed. “Oh gods, ‘one fine specimen of manhood’ is an overstatement. I will try to remember I’m not the kid I used to be.”

“That’s a good start to seeing how sexy you are,” Darin said. “Perry’s got some new idea for how she wants to do the calendar.
